Ode To Saturday Mornings

My warm blanket and comfy pillow
Beckon me to stay,
While the songs outside my window
Beg me come and play.

So I stay here and contemplate
On this sunny Saturday.
It is forty after eight,
And in my bed I lay.

Through my window the sun climbs,
To keep me company.
All the bird songs start to chime
A morning melody.
