         "Portrait of A Morning"



A jet stream pierced the heart of a cloud,
and continued to sweep across a shredded cotton sky.

Believing colors counted on this white-canvas morning,
the day continued its self-portrait with a celebration.

Dawn's regalia regarded its dainty dew drops,
as delicate footsteps danced; decorated with silver-blue beads.

Contributing to the tapestry, a feather-dusted breeze
dry brushed soft budded tree tops.

A burst of brilliance in the splash of sunlight
accented asparagus-green with gold and effervescent hues.

Winged songs stirred scented compositions of fragrant flowers,
while a palette-washed garden offered another watercolor story.
