Never give effort without something to back it up - a sports poem.
Giving them your best fight in order to win
Must take into account the danger you’re in,
For even the Pope can’t forgive you of sin,
All that you’re up against, or where you have been!

You must tell yourself the outcome’s the real one,
And fight long and hard when you’re under the gun.
While enjoying the glory and basking in the sun,
Take some time to appreciate and have some fun!

Dogs do the barking, but do they have fight?
Is the goal in your future the one that is right?
Can you see that your friends are always ‘out of sight’,
And your family warms to your pleasure and delight?

Give in to the sin for your worthwhile gains;
The antidote is richness, not dull aches and pains…
The fighter’s in trouble, and no bowler abstains
From shooting the 7-10 staring at them down the lanes…

Your talents are real, and quite saintly and just –
Every action is generated from a cause and a must…
But what it boils down to is, whom do you trust,
The winner of the game, or the fighter who’s a bust?

Execute your will, but don’t beat it like a drum –
The paychecks spell ‘winner’, while the others stay glum.
The success taught to pupils is wealth to the some,
And is proof that the champions don’t remain ‘mum’.
