Poem written about fighting battles. Just to hide the personal ones I was facing.
Standing on the battle field of myself and me
There’s no way I can win this fight
Unfortunately there is no where to flee
From my own dangerous blight

Blood dripping from my sword
As I halt to catch my breath
To kill is my reward
To see this carnage fest

I stand amongst the bodies, black and broken where they lie
Blood like sweet nectar falling from their limbs
False terms of consequence and though I try
I can’t see the end of this. Its filling me to the brim

Looking out once again,  giving up my creed
And in turn my better half takes control
But this time I shall let him lead,
It is of course his proper role

After so long feeding off sorrow and pain
To be locked away from them; my feast
The use of the drug can’t be willing waned
Nor the high ever cease

My sword comes back to me
Flying back into my hand
One more chance for my enemies to flee
Before I take my chance

Their faces seem to me, to fade
Crawl back into the hole they live in
From my mind they ran, their visit paid…
I can not be my own friend.
