Broken Intersection

The day has come

Different pages turned

With different opportunities heard

It’s time we choose life or love.



Separate dreams led to unrelated streams

But intricate veins

The connection still remains

Too difficult to destroy.



We could give up

Forfeit this erratic game

Let loose ties lie where they lay

Sparing love for all but us.



We’ll each leave a part of our heart

I’ll write mine and you’ll write yours

Sadly we’ll walk through separate doors

Here in this intersection of opposite direction.



Our tears are merging with the rain

One unspoken word left to convey

Here in the mouth of broken roads

As we stand; scissors in hand.
