There is something in the air
that fills me with a fresh flair
to change the dark into fair
the world is poised and aware
It's time to bring on the New Year.
What’s past is past,sadness,fear.
In future lie our aspirations dear,
hope to find a world without a care.
The bells in the distance ring out
charred past, dispel worry, doubt.
The maple and the tall willow flout
new green leaves high and stout.
Let’s rediscover ourselves, our worth
our ability to love, to learn, to unearth
buried humanity, delete devil’s mirth,
bring peace and harmony to our earth.
