The rubber soles of a small pair of boots meet the carpet in the airport, carrying the owner down towards the plane that was off to Canada.
"Golly gosh" thought the owner. this wasn't a normal flight back to Melbourne, or Tasmania or even Adelaide. The boots were heading to a plane that was heading out of the country.
Oh canada. The nerves reemerged as Emily reached the door of the plane. This was it. She was off out of the country, no turning back now. The adventures of a agricultral exchangee were waiting for her.
She smiled nervesly as the flight attendant looked at her boarding card and directed her where to go. She found her seat, got her camera, journal and pen then stowed her bag.
As the plane loaded with people, Emily sat in her seat, looking around her and taking it all in. thoughts of who she was, where she was from(Tassie, God damm it!) and the events that had passed leading her up to this point in her life. 16 young people like herself were flying to Canada to work on farms as agricultrual exchangees.
