This is in memory of someone who I walked away from.
Your mind may think it best to walk away.
That it's best not to let things get too messy.

The thing is:
Your heart may not let you forget,
You may not be meant to walk away so easy.

A love that is lost in a childish way,
One that you thought you could leave behind.

Can be the one that stays with you forever!

Someone that you turned away from,
Because it was easier,
Just because you didn't want to get hurt.
Can stay in your heart and on your mind always.

Then when you’re left,
With no one to say "I'm sorry" to,
No one to tell you that its ok,
That they forgive you.

You’re the one that is left with an emptiness that can't be filled.

So be careful how you treat the ones you love.
Say you’re sorry when you’re wrong,
Or even when you aren't.
Take a chance when it’s worth taking.
Don't wait until it’s too late.

And if you have to leave,
Leave them knowing that you did all you could.

We don't always get a chance to make things right,
We don't always have that "someday".
