Translation from the Spanish "DE TU NOMBRE" by Marco Antonio Flores, born 1937, Guatemala
      OF YOUR NAME

Dare not
pronounce
  "love"
if the heart
its tenderness
be not lifted
most high!
Unless endlessly spilling
with praises and joy
soaking roots
and red mornings
and rains!

Like waking bells pealing!
Like the voice
raised, raised higher
far higher than
swelling of waves!
The utterance
  - love's -
dwelling place
must so be

But your name...
To speak your...
born, borne in silence in me
Don't...  Be still.  Must first
swallow
deeply
your
bottomless
gaze
