We can debate this philosophy or practice –
What will transport us through time and space,
A life that may neither charm nor satisfy us,
Spiraling through with both patience and pace?
Should we uphold the need for modesty,
Or should we invest in some gainful re-tooling?
Are we subordinate to the trait of honesty,
Or might we learn amid constant schooling?
Should we nurture the futures of children,
Or serve our country in state of war?
Might we preach to our sisters and brethren
About the holy sacrifices of His Son, and more?
Shouldn’t we work harder than ever,
To marry and raise a family,
And pay the bills and tuition, and never
Say anything hurtful to our loves, our honey?
In essence, the practical vehicle in life
Is how we approach every single day,
Positive, fruitful, grateful, and rife
With abounding joy and the need to pray!
