a dying relative's wish.
Tried to upload while at Tg pinang.
Network suxs

its 730 pm here
i just had my dinner of varieties of chinese style cooking
not that full but enough for the stomach for today.
tv was showing a news about a child that could not be buried
his father is too poor to pay the funeral parlor
her body laid cold while her father wiping her pale blotted body
its been more than 15 hours
she drowned in a disuse quarry

did u believe and seen about reconciliation before death

well i have read about it before
and i think i was told about it too
seeking forgiveness before time catches up with you
trying hard to seek forgiveness
that last piece of the key to peace beyond afterlife
God is forgiving
but not man
thats why we are asked to seek forgiveness with fellow men
and we are told to forgive and let it go

over the weekend i was humbly shown the humility of men
and the power of reconciliation
and how it gives peace to the dying
and time flies like a wafting a feather

a relative whom has not been in our lives for many years
was told that she was lying on her dead bed
she seeks the presence of her brother
they got separated after a bad feud
leaving the memory of siblings like a tethered wings
hopeless and helpless

suddenly the link for her brother to find her became easy and clean
its like a switch which has been waiting too long to be turned on
the light seems so bright and welcoming
greetings like a neon lights
welcome welcome welcome

she laid frail and sick
her breathing was laborers and pain
the recital of Quran echoes in her room
soothing yet solemn
its reminds one of the Almighty
a welcoming greetings for the angels
when its times for them to come

her brother came by her side
held her hands
reaching to her ears whispering soothing and caring words
letting her know that he is by her side now
the familiar voice that probably she had been longing for many years
whispering words like a lullaby
gently and with brotherly love
announcing his arrival by his side
she couldnt see him anymore
but that voice perks her up
her weak body moved slightly

probably that is the only voice that she wants to hear now

she couldnt say anything
but her regret and sorrow
were portrayed by her close one
forgiveness was all she wants

doctors had given up on her
letting the family to bring her home so that she could leave this world
in the only place that probably she loves most
her home
its everyone wishes to see his/her home for the last time
not the cold bare walls and medicine smelled room of hospital

as he sat beside her
caressing her hands
whispering soft words
audible only to herself
others just stood still
heads hanging low
a pitiful moment
but a very comforting one for the one that is leaving

as she was left to rest at 715pm
we take our leave
hoping that this reconciliation would not end at that day
maybe another day to tease her with our presence

i looked at the death certificate
time of death 730pm

she passed on at peace
that finally she could let go
and God has given her ample time
to seek her forgiveness
and a timely one
to bury the hatchet
and let bygone be bygone
and the past
wafting like a feather
landing on a calm pond.

Forgiveness is hard to give but it’s a good remedy for revengeful soul.
