This poem is about how we think and feel one way, yet say and react another!
Here we are again
on this hot summer night.
Not saying a word
trying not to start a fight.
We sit here together
but are truly worlds apart,
While the anger and pain
destroy contents of the heart.
We know that it is over
without knowing how or why.
Neither says what both know,
the word to say is goodbye.
Our love has run its track,
our paths became uncrossed.
We can't ever move forward
with our direction so lost.
That one word will lead to so much said
and what is said will lead to a fight.
So tonight I guess I'll put off goodbye
and instead I'll just say goodnight.
