Sonya's life is changed forever. Its a story of lies, betrayal, love and redmeption.
I'm not going to add a new chapter every time I edit, instead, the edited portion or new portion will appear in rose, hope you enjoy and I would appreciate any feedback, positive and negative!

                                                        Chapter One
“Look out…” the warning came too late.
I collided with him, my books flew from my arms and I would have followed them if a strong arm hadn’t caught me around the waist, anchoring me to him. Smile, on my face, I turned to thank my savior. It never occurred to me that my friend’s looks of pity and horror could be for anything other than the accident itself. My smile faded and  I felt something akin to a growl crawling up my throat.
         “What are you doing here?”
He backed away, palms out in surrender. “It’s a free world Sonya. I go to school here.”
“No, you go to Highland East, why don’t you go back to your side of the river?”
I could feel people staring. More than a few mouths would be hanging open. The anger and shame I could feel rising in my chest was making me dizzy. It was an unfamiliar sensation for me. He was the only one who had ever made me lose control, the only one to make me cry, and he was back.
“I thought you had moved…” He bent and was stacking my books neatly.
         “I came back.”
He nodded. “I see that. Look, Sonya, I’m really sorry and I wish I could explain it all to you…”
Taking my things from him, I walked away. I’d waited so long to hear an explanation. Time had proven that it was a futile hope. It was over, I was back to being the person everyone knew, the one they were comfortable with. His coming back wasn’t going to change me again.
Michelle, my closest friend, was the only one not gaping at me in silence as we walked to class. She had been there when  Raife had consumed me. Like a good friend, she had helped me stitch myself back together, had hugged me while I cried and  listened as I cursed him to hell and back. Now, she pulled me into the bathroom, ordering everyone out.
Pulling a paper towel down, she handed it to me and leaned against the sink, waiting patiently for whatever happened. It was as if the last two years hadn’t happened. The healing I thought I had done, the move I was so sure had been good for me, it all crumbled.
All I could see was his face. Then, the tears were blurring even that. Sliding down the wall, I curled in on myself, wrapping my arms around my knees I sobbed hysterically. She was there, stroking my hair, mumbling incoherent sentences of patient kindness and understanding. Michelle was my sister in every way but blood, she was my other half, and the only one I could be myself with.
“Want me to beat him up for you?”
I made a sound that was somewhere between a laugh and a sob. “No…it’s not his fault I’m still hung up on him. I thought I was over this Miki.”
She stroked my hair. “Me too babe, but it looks like you were just in denial. You need a distraction.”
My confusion must have shown on my face. “Well, crying right now is all fine and good, but if you think I’m gonna let you go back to what you were for, you’re crazy. Tonight, you are going out with Darren and you’re going to have fun!”
I nodded, not because I wanted to, but because she was right. Darren was a nice guy and he had wanted me for as long as I could remember. Raife was the only guy I had even given a chance,  who knew, maybe Darren was my real love, and this thing with Raife, it was just an infatuation….
“Good,” Michelle looked at me critically. “let’s get you cleaned up and  get to class. “
When I was presentable, we marched to class, heads held high as if I hadn’t just went PMS on the new kid. People watched me in fascination, curious about this new me. Already, he had changed me. My peers didn’t see me as the calm collected individual I had worked hard to project. Instead, I was an emotional wreck, vulnerable and weak. It wouldn’t happen again.
That became my mantra. It repeated over and over in my mind. I was so focused on it that I didn’t notice at first the silence that greeted my entrance to biology. Michelle lead me to my seat before speaking gently.
“Remember, you control you. Don’t let them know it upsets you.”
I frowned at her. They already knew I’d been upset. Then, as if I had some sixth sense, I felt the hairs on my neck raise. Turning, I met his odd golden eyes.  My heart did flips in my chest and  the pain came rushing back with quick intensity. Beneath the table, Michelle squeezed my hand.
Like an actress, I gave him a practiced smile and nod before turning and focusing on the board. I’d always been a good student, but I put an extra effort into my work. Mr. Hayes held my attention from beginning to end. He actually looked surprised at my intensity when he caught my gaze. I must have made quite an impression because he stopped me as I was rushing out of the room.
         “Are you feeling okay, Sonya?”
         I smiled brightly. “Great!”
Michelle had to rush to her next class, unlike myself, she didn’t have a study period. I was on my way to the library when his hand closed on my wrist. I knew instantly it was him. His touch always brought a bitter sweet pain with it.
“Sonya…will you please talk to me?”
I turned to face him, wishing I was strong enough to just walk away. Instead, I looked him over, noting the changes the last two years had wrought. He was even taller now, leaner. Where before he had simply looked athletic, he looked fierce now, dangerous almost. His hair was longer, not long enough to get in his face, but I knew if I ran my hand through it, it would push through my fingers.
“You’ve lost weight.” He had been comparing me as well.
I nodded. “I got into hiking. You got taller…”
         He grinned. “I grew up.”
For a moment we stood in awkward silence. I gave up  as the tears threatened again, and turned away. He caught me again.
“Don’t, don’t run from me…” It was barely a whisper.
I glared back at him. “I wasn’t the one that ran, Raife.”
         “…I…”
“Sonya!” Darren interrupted whatever he had been about to say. “I was looking everywhere for you. Michelle said you were coming to the movies with us tonight. She didn’t pressure you into it…” He trailed off looking between Raife and myself.
I summoned a smile, though a flush had crept up my chest and into my face. It was ridiculous, but I felt like I was cheating on Raife.
“No, I really want to go. Raife, this is Darren. Darren, this is Raife. He was my….friend from before I moved.”
His face clearing, Darren held out his hand. “Great to meet you. I’m glad she came back, huh?”
His face impassive, Raife nodded. “Yeah. I’ve got to go though. Have fun.”
Darren looked after him for a moment before turning to me. “Did you want me to pick you up?
“If you wouldn’t mind, my car’s still in the shop.”
He shrugged. “Hey, it’s my pleasure. Around eight?”
Michelle, of course, had heard of the impromptu hall meeting. She rushed me home and sat on my bed as I cried and told her everything. Her face held a look of mischievous calculation when I was done.
“Forget it. Darren’s who you need now. We’ll go and enjoy the movie, then we make an appearance at Tori’s party. Everything will be fine.”

The movie was a waste of our time. What had been advertised as a record breaking action film was nothing more than a chick flick with fast cars. Darren and Tyler, Miki’s boyfriend of four years, laughed it off saying we had planned it to torture them. It wasn’t easy to forget Raife, but Miki was right again, the distraction kept me from dwelling on him.
Tori’s party shoved every thought of him from my mind. I hadn’t been back long, and everything had changed beyond recognition. Gone were the tame parties where we sipped a few beers. People were dancing on tables wearing little more than their underwear. There was a keg in the corner and a table spread with bottles of every alcohol I had ever heard of and some I hadn’t. Tori, herself was hammered before we even got there.
When she opened the door, she had to use it for support. Tyler caught her before she did a face plant on the ground, but only barely. Miki shook her head, but she felt that we had a duty to socialize, so we spread out and talked to whoever we could find that was sober enough to be somewhat intelligible.
It was wall to wall bodies, and the temperature climbed in minutes. My shirt, a green silk tank, was sticking to me and my hair was hanging limp down my back. Darren noticed and went off to get me some water. Pushing my way through the crowd, I found a secluded balcony that surprisingly enough wasn’t in use. The cool air was balm on my skin.
“There you are..” He handed me a plastic red cup. “It’s just water, there wasn’t anything else to put it though.”
I waved away his apology. Water was water regardless of what container it was in. It soothed my skin and I felt marginally better as I finished it. Breathing deeply, I turned so that I was facing the house, my back to the grounds below us.
         “Is it always like this?”
He nodded apologetically. “Everyone tries to out-do each other. They get wilder and wilder each year. Hopefully this year’s freshmen start over. This is getting out of hand.”
I agreed. Somewhere in the midst of the chaos someone was yelling. There was going to be a fight soon. Deciding I’d rather not be here when the cops were called, I stood up and started back through the house. Abruptly, the world swam around me. Darren caught my arm as I stumbled.
         “Are you alright?”
His face was only centimeters from mine but his words echoed across a distance. The image I had of him was blurry and distorted. I tried to shake my head, but his hand swept through my hair stopping me short and drawing me closer to him.
It didn’t register at first that he was kissing me. My mind was sluggish and I couldn’t focus. Dimly, I remember trying to push him away, but only managing to lose my footing and fall on my back. He followed me to the ground holding my hands as they flailed in the air trying to force him away.
         “No…”
         “Sonya…”
I found some semblance of control and bit his lip hard enough to  draw blood. “I…said no…”
I could taste his blood on my lip, but I never considered I had made him mad until his fist connected with the side of my face. Barely able to move, I could only lie there and moan as he hit me over and over again. He mumbled under his breath about whores who tease and flirt.
My face felt like putty and I was close to losing consciousness when I heard another voice. Even in my present state, I smiled. Raife did that to me, I was either smiling or crying. I heard a distinct thud then he was leaning over me, his hand gently brushing my hair from my face.
“Sonya, are you okay, talk to me.”
I wanted to answer him, to assure him I was fine, but my lips were swollen and just the effort pushed me off the precipice and into the darkness.

“Sonya, honey, mommy’s here. Ben, look what he did to her!”
I heard my father’s voice, gruff with his own emotion as he consoled my mother. Forcing my eyes to open, I blinked up at the florescent hospital lights. My face felt swollen, but I wasn’t hurting. From the feeling of giddiness, I was left to assume they had given me pain medication of some sort.
“Mom…mom…” My voice was barely above a whisper and harsh with strain. “Can you get me some water?”
She enfolded my hand in hers and after brushing a kiss across my forehead, rushed off to find me some water. Dad took her seat at my bedside. There were dark circles under his eyes and he looked as if he hadn’t slept in days.
“We were worried about you kiddo. “ He said, his voice cracking on the end. “You’ve been asleep for a few days.”
In that case, he probably hadn’t slept in days. I put my hand over his.
         “I’m fine, dad, really.”
He nodded. “The nurses said  that you didn’t have a concussion and that when you woke up you could go home. The doctor told us it was probably just the trauma…”
“I’m fine.” I reiterated as he faltered again. “Just get me home as fast as possible.”
         He smiled. “Still hate hospitals?”
“Gee, wonder where I got that from?” I elbowed him lightly.
Mom came back with a glass of water, a nurse, and Michelle. She looked almost as bad as dad. When she saw me, she gave a little cry and flung herself on my chest sobbing.
“I’m so sorry! I never thought Darren could be like that! Sonya…please tell me you don’t hate me! I’d understand if you did…”
Mom pulled her off me gently to sit at my feet. “Michelle, honey, we all know you would never do anything to hurt Sonya…”
I nodded. “You’re still my girl! I would never have thought he could be like that either! I mean, you didn’t force me to go out with him by myself.”
She nodded and smiled gratefully. “Good thing Raife was there. He was furious with him. The police had to pull him off Darren when they finally got you on the ambulance.”
My parents were nodding agreeably. “They were restraining him when we arrived. He’s a nice boy, but maybe you should leave off boys for awhile.”
Dad raised his eyebrows at mom’s sage advice, but didn’t say anything. I knew him well enough to know that he didn’t disapprove of Raife at all. He respected someone who was willing to fight for what was theirs and capable of doing it.
“Is he okay?” I asked this of Michelle, from mom’s reaction, she probably hadn’t seen him since and less likely was that she would ever want to.
She glanced at my parents. “He’s fine. Actually, he’s the one that brought me here. He’s waiting just outside….”
I turned to my parents pleadingly. Mom would have protested, but dad took her hand and lead her gently into the hallway. Michelle patted my leg then left to get my missing savior.
If Miki and my parents looked bad, Raife looked horrible. His hair was unkempt and stuck out at all angles from his head. His eyes were dark and his clothes were wrinkled.
         “Hey…”
         “Thank you.”
He nodded, but his hands were fists at his sides. “I don’t know what I would have done if they hadn’t pulled me off him, Sonya. I…this is why I left. I can’t control my feelings where you’re concerned.” He sat beside me and leaned forward so that our foreheads were touching, his hands covering mine. “I almost lost my mind when I saw him hurting you…”
         “Raife…”
He pulled away slightly. “I know you don’t understand, but I’m not good enough for you.”
         “That’s ridiculous…”
“I want you….I want another chance. I don’t deserve you and I hurt you, but I promise from now on, I’ll be as close to perfect as I can…”
         “Raife…”
         “I love you.”
Tears filled my eyes and I nodded, too choked to responds. Gently, I pulled his face close to mine and kissed him with just the lightest of pressures.
He buried his face in my neck and gave a sigh of relief. “Please don’t hate me…”
Confused, I waited for him to explain, but he just lay there. We fell asleep like that. Only when my parents and Miki returned did we move. It was just a short time before I was discharged and sent home with my parents.
Raife had left to take Miki home after promising to come see me the next day.

The day passed and I lay in my bed, waiting for the door to open. It opened, several times, but it was never Raife. My mom cast looks of pity at me whenever she thought I wasn’t looking. I actually overheard her telling my dad that I just had a crush because he had saved me. According to her he’d only been nice and I took it way out of proportion.
I went through several emotions over the course of the day. At first, I was hopeful, maybe he was just going to be late. When that seemed to be wishful thinking, I was hurt. From hurt I went straight to pissed. He’d lied to me; I needed him and he’d lied to me!
Content for the moment with destroying the order of my closet and throwing my pillow, I fell into a restless sleep. Sunlight streamed in waking me up the next morning. Grumbling, I rolled over only to collide with something, or more accurately, someone.
“Morning beautiful…” He leaned in to kiss me and I shoved him off the bed and into the floor.
         “No.”
He got up and brushed himself off, looking at me in utter confusion. “No?”
“No, you are not going to lie to me then come in here and wake me up like it never happened! Where were you yesterday?”
He raised his hands helplessly. “I had a family emergency…”
“Whatever Raife! This always happens! When I need you, you’re always busy with some emergency or another! How many times are you going to use that excuse and still think it’s going to work?”
“I’m not lying, Sonya…what’s wrong with you?”
I picked up the thing nearest me, a glass horse my dad had made himself. It shattered against the wall near his head.
“Nothing is wrong with me! I am…perfectly…OKAY!” The family portrait we had taken in Moscow lay in pieces at his feet.
He raised his eyebrows. ”Really, because…”he dodged a well aimed vase. “you seem angry.”
“I just fucking told you why I was angry! Do I always have to repeat myself?”
Shaking his head, he inched closer. “I didn’t ask you to repeat yourself…Sonya, are you feeling alright. Baby, calm down…”
“There you go making me repeat myself!” I threw a red stiletto at his chest. “I AM CALM!”
Moving suddenly, he grabbed my wrists and pushed me back onto the bed , effectively restraining me. In that moment, all the rage disappeared and I was crying.
         “I’m sorry!”
He stared down at me bemused. “I know baby. You’re probably still upset about the party…” his hand brushed over my cheek tucking my hair behind my ear and giving him a clear view of my face.
Before he could look at the mess Darren had made of my face, I raised my head and kissed him. He started to pull away, but gave in, probably fearing another scene. What I had meant to be a minor distraction  whirled out of my control quickly. It was suddenly urgent that I touch him, to mark him as mine.
I yanked my wrists from his hold and pulled him closer to me, laying back on the bed. The swiftness of it took him by surprise, but he caught on fast. His mouth trailed from my lips to my throat as my hands slipped under his sweater to move restlessly over his chest. He bit lightly at my collarbone and I surprised both of us by making a sound that was a cross between a growl and a whimper.
“Sonya…”He pulled back to look at me, his breath coming in short gasps already.
His eyes widened and he jumped back as if I had tried to stab him. Hurt, I brushed my hair back and sat up.
         “Is it that horrible?”
Mutely, he shook his head. His expression said it for him though. It was a mixture of horror and wary fascination. I covered my face with my hands and started crying again.
“I’m sorry! I won’t look like this for long though…”
He  pulled my hands away. “Baby that’s not it at all. Believe me, to me, you’ll never look more beautiful to me than you do right now.”
         “I don’t understand then!”
Kissing my forehead, he pulled me to my feet. The movement made me dizzy and more than a little nauseous.  He caught me as I swayed on my feet and helped me into a jacket and some shoes.
         “Where are we going?”
“I can’t tell you, but it will explain everything. Do you think your parents will let you leave or will you have to sneak out?”
I glanced at the clock. It was one o’clock.
“They aren’t even here anymore. Why is this so important?”
“Not yet…be patient . I promise, baby, you’ll understand everything.”
I let him take my hand and lead  down the stairs. It was when we got to the landing that I started to feel sick. My head hurt and I stumbled, nearing pulling both of us to the floor. Rather than panicking, Raife, simply picked me up and carried me out the door. He tossed me as gently as possible into the passenger seat of his car, then we were racing through the streets.
“Raife…Raife…I’m going to be sick!” I curled up in the seat as my stomach rolled and twisted.
“It’ll be okay…just hold on. I need you to try and relax…”
Pain shot through my body, arching my back against the seat. My next words were closer to a scream.
“I can’t relax Raife! It hurts!”
He stroked my hair with his free hand. “I know, just try!”
“I’m trying!” I wrapped my arms around myself and told myself to breath through the pain.
It sounded as if I I were in labor. My breath was short pants. I ‘hee hee hoo’d through each wave, but it just kept coming. Hands tensed into claws, I screamed at Raife.
“Please! I’m going to be sick!”
He nodded and made to pull over, but it was too late. To his credit, he barely flinched at all as I emptied my stomach on the dashboard of his new Camaro. Rummaging around in his back seat, he came up with a sock and used it to tie my hair back.
Grimacing, he pulled back onto the road. “Sorry, but that’s really all I have.”
I waved away his concern. Having my hair pulled away from face had me feeling marginally better as I had started to feel feverish.
         “Raife…what’s wrong with me?!”
He glanced at me. “Just hold on a few more minutes. I can’t tell you yet, but I promise…”
         “I don’t want a promise! I want to know what’s happening!”
Not responding, he pushed the gas pedal a little harder and the engine purred as we picked up speed. It didn’t occur to me to protest how fast we were going , I was too wrapped up in my pain to pay attention. Until he cursed and jerked the car sharply to the right, I didn’t even glance at the road.
         “Raife…”
We came to a sudden and painful stop. From the angle I had been sitting, I managed to avoid cracking my head off the windshield and instead smacked my forehead off the side window. It rendered me momentarily unconscious and when I woke, I had lost all control of myself.
Frantically, I clawed at the door. When my hand finally found the handle, I jerked it open and threw myself on the ground. Scrambling on all fours, raced into the unknown. I didn’t look where I was going, I just ran. Some part of my mind was screaming at the absurdity of it, but I needed to run. The car was too confining.
My shoes slipped off and I left them behind. I barely felt the rocks and sticks that  bit at my feet. Trees rose up in front of me and I dodged them expertly.  Barely winded, I ran, and ran. For what seemed like hours, I raced through the darkness.  Behind me, I was dimly aware of Raife, calling for me to stop, to slow down.
I wanted to listen to him, wanted to stop and force him to explain what was happening, but my body wasn’t under my control anymore. It wanted to feel the wind whipping through it hair, the dirt beneath it’s feet. Scared and strangely excited, I continued on my unknown path.  Nothing could deter me, not the branches grabbing at my clothes, the mud squeezing up between my toes as I ran the circumference of the lake.
Out of nowhere, Raife tackled me, his body slamming into mine and forcing me to halt my reckless journey. He wasn’t wined either, but he looked rumpled. I fought him, suddenly afraid he was going to eat me. That’s what my brain was screaming. It told me that he would hurt me, eat me, kill me. My nails scored his face and I let out a shriek that echoed around us.
“Sonya! Sonya, baby, please, I know you’re in there somewhere…”
I arched off the ground still trying to move him off of me. He had grabbed my wrists and twisted my arms behind me. At that moment I was more afraid than I had been in my life. Growling I turned my head and bit at the arm that restrained me. Raife grunted, but held fast even as the blood trickled from the place where my mouth was still attached to his arm.
         “Let go.”
I growled again and shook my head ever so slightly, the skin caught beneath my teeth tore just a little more. He cursed and transferred my left wrist to his other hand. Holing both of them together rubbed bone against bone and this new pain distracted me enough that I relaxed my mouth. Raife, having a slight advantage used his free arm to grab my hair and hold me still. Swiftly, he struck, biting the skin on my neck, just where it met my shoulder.
Just like that, I relaxed. My instincts calmed and I lay limply on the ground underneath him. Gently, he let go and met my eyes.
         “Are you okay now?”
I nodded silently. Other than being super aware of him lying on top of me, I was great. Remembering the last time I was this relaxed was a chore I decided could wait. Slipping my hands from his, I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him down. He shook his head and pulled back.
“You don’t know what you’re doing, Sonya.”
Frowning, I tugged at him. He sighed and bent to kiss me, but kept it light and simple. Then, he delicately shrugged out of my embrace and stood. Holding out a hand, he tried to pull me to my feet.
The part of me that had been so relaxed, woke again. This time, it wasn’t scared,  it was angry. He had bested me, then rejected me. That wasn’t the natural order and I had to fix it. I took his hand, but with a burst of strength, I pulled him to the ground. While he was lying there in shock at the sudden change of events, I climbed on top of him.
Using both hands, I pulled his face to mine and gave him a series of gentle bites and kisses until with a groan, he surrendered. His arms went around me, pressing me down and flat against his chest.
         “Sonya…”
His focus was returning. With a frustrated snarl, I pulled the tattered shirt over my head and tossed it aside. I noticed with satisfaction that his golden eyes narrowed almost immediately with desire. He didn’t resist as I pushed his own shirt over his head. He lay unmoving on the cold, wet ground, watching me.
Frustrated at his lack of response, I leaned down to kiss him again, pushing his hands from my hips upward to the clasps of my bra. It was stained with mud, but rather than feeling embarrassed, I was simply impatient. When he just lay there, his fingertips lightly stroking my back, I pushed back, reached behind me and  took that off too.
“Sonya…please…” He sounded choked now and he turned his head to the side, looking off into the forest. “You don’t know what you’re doing!”
“I know what I’m trying to do.” My voice was deeper, more husky and I felt powerful, seeing the reaction he could no longer hide.
Like a trained seductress, I sat up, pushed my hands into my hair and lifted it. It was a move designed to arch my back and offer him the best view possible. He hissed and shut his eyes, moving his lips silently in a prayer, for control probably. I didn’t want his control; I wanted him.
Moving as if to a slow, sultry beat, I rotated my hips. The movement was restrained because of the jeans I still wore and the position I was in, but it worked none-the-less.  Raife’s eyes popped open and his grip on my tightened.
         “Raife…please…”
Giving a barely perceptible nod, he slid his hand from my back to my stomach. It swept ever so lightly up my ribs until he cupped me in his hand. Watching my face carefully, he kneaded my breast.
Raife was the only person to have touched me. It was almost painful, the intensity of it. I whimpered and he immediately took his hand away. Putting it back, leaned into him my on hand sliding restlessly up and down his chest. His thumbs swirled bringing another dizzying wave of pleasure rushing through me. My hips rocked helplessly against him.
I protested with a small groan when he moved his hand again, but he kissed me lightly and rolled to the side so that we were facing each other. Wrapping my arms around him, I dug my nails into his back and shoulders as he dipped his head and kissed his way to my chest, biting lightly along the way. When he sucked on me, my legs tightened around him and I stopped breathing for a moment.
“Please?!” I was begging  but it was an order too.
His smile said he appreciated my impatience and I felt the button on my jeans loosen, the free up. He pushed them down a little when he moved his hands around to grab my butt and pull me even closer. My chest brushed his with ever breath, but I wanted to be even closer. It was up to Raife to fix it for me, I had no idea what I was doing.
I felt his fingertips brush my lower stomach and I looked down, watching as he slid his hand into my panties and touched me for the first time. It drove every ounce of sanity from me and it became suddenly urgent that I come, now. He slipped a finger, then two inside me and watched, passion and need etching the lines of his face, as I rode them.
It wasn’t enough, wasn’t nearly enough. Frantic, I tried to unbutton his jeans, nearly screaming out loud when my clumsy fingers refused to cooperate. Finally though, I managed. The moment I touched him though, he drove his fingers deep and the world around me blackened. I heard myself scream, but I couldn’t swallow the sound. All I could do was drown in the sensations that threatened to overwhelm me.
When I gained some sense of myself, Raife was leaning over me, resting on his elbows. “If you don’t want to do this…”
He would stop, right now if I asked. However, I could hear the raw need in his voice, could feel him pressing against me, and my own need skyrocketed again.
         “Please…please finish it…”
With a groan, he buried his face in my neck and used his knee to spread my legs. I felt him brush against me, watched his hand disappear between us, then there was a burning, tearing sensation that had me moving away, pushing at his shoulders.
“Only for a minute.” He promised giving me a deep kiss that set the flames back to blazing.
He waited, unmoving for me to adjust to him. Even when I moved my body curiously, enjoying the sensations each tiny thrust caused, he stayed still. Only when I met his gaze and gave him the tiniest smile did he truly let go. Groaning, He lifted my leg higher, sinking even deeper into my body.
I felt him, every inch, as he moved slowly in and out. It was amazing and  I felt myself racing towards the edge again, but this time, I wanted him to go with me. This control, this slow rocking was driving me crazy. Leaning up, I bit his shoulder sharply, enough that I tasted the bitter taste of his blood in my mouth.
He gave a strangled cry, and looked at me with helpless, narrowed eyes as his thrusts became harder, more frantic. My nails dragged trails down his spine as I arched up, meeting him beat for beat. I felt his hands clutching tightly at my hips, felt the rocks under my back, but nothing surpassed the exquisite sensations he was causing. Then, the world exploded again. I heard Raife groan my name as he pumped harder and faster then stilled, growing limp above me.
“Sonya…”His breath was still in shambles and my name was barely a pant.
“Mmm?” Like a contented cat, I curled up to him, a lazy smile on my face when he rolled away to lie on his back.
         “We shouldn’t have done that…”
I didn’t get a chance to respond. My body convulsed and tensed up. No matter how much I fought it, I was pulled into a tight ball of pain, my own body betraying me. Even as I opened my mouth to scream, Raife cursed and put his hand over my face, effectively cutting off all my air. Helpless, I struggled, against the pain, against the panic the lack of oxygen induced, and against the betrayal. A tear slipped down my cheek, just as the earth tilted and dropped me off into the darkness.
