A collection of neurons, sending electrical and chemical signals through synapses.

But what more? What could it be?
A “spiritual force?” That would not help;
For what sort of spiritual force
Would not require more?

What more do we want? What are we looking for?
An answer to the question, “What am I?”
We are human beings, on  Earth, in the Sun’s solar system, in the Milky Way,
Staring at a piece of paper, neurons firing away.
And what more?
