This poem has been published in a book of poems by an American publisher.
Remember a childhood where life has no end?
The future much further than can comprehend,
A day lasts forever, not the blink of an eye,
No racing the day as moments go by,
Time without meaning, clocks with still hands,
No tumbling down with the hourglass sands.

Playing and laughing, enjoyments galore,
No working or worrying just playing some more,
Long lazy mornings early to bed,
No stress tomorrow, living instead,
Each season distinctive, no blurring of time,
Young hearts pumping, no loss of our prime.

Bright eyed mornings, excitement not dread,
No awful anticipation, just lying in bed,
Bounce from the mattress,
Head clear not a mess,
Another long day of a lifetime to live,
Not sluggishly weary, all passion to give.

From infinite time to an end well in sight,
An intangible future to a timescale too tight,
Days are over before they begin,
Innumerable tasks vying to win,
From start to finish, life is so short,
Best perceive time with a young person's thought.
