You know when you walk in to a dark place?
THE DARK PLACE

There are places in our world that really can be dark and mysterious. But out of all the dark places there are I find that the mind is a real dark place. Try to put yourself inside your mind with your eyes closed. think about all the places that you can. after awhile your mind will create a dark place. That is how this story came about . It takes place in the dark part of your mind where all the dark places are.

Jay is a 15 year old with everything at his finger tips, He is going to school for drafting, He gets home around 3:30pm everyday goes in his room to relax. He closes his eyes and goes to all the places his mind can imagine.

So on a Tuesday afternoon Jay returns home from school to just sit up in his room to relax. He closes his eyes and starts to let his imagination take over his body. He dreams of going to music classes ,playing drums, being in a band would be real cool if he knew how to play. Then just like that he is in drafting checking out his pretend girlfriend Mindy. He has always liked her but never had enough balls to ask her on a date. Just as that one seemed so close to a resolution another thought flashes in his mind this time he is running away from something but he doesnt know what or who. This is not the only time he has had this dream or even the feeling but he know that it will end before he awakes for dinner it always seems to end. On this particular day though the dream never ends, He finds himself running ansd running from something that wants him or some one that is comming from him. This is where he realizes that he doesnt have the feelings he usually gets when he dreaming, everything has changed somehow someway things have changed, but what?

The world he finds himself in semms familar not to much unlike his own town, But still it seems like it could be a strange place to be.There is no one he knows but people that seem like they know him. Then again that feeling went away,he is not sure where his mind is taking him but he goes where the feeling brings him, almost like he knows where he wants to go but all he wants is to be back in his room. As jay walks around the people in town cant look him in the eyes, He tries to say help or even hello but the words come out in gargles, Suddenly he feels like he is drowning, He knows he is not in water or is he? As he looks down there is blood dripping from his nose but not bright blood, deep red blood that feels like it will not stop. He yells to find that his voice is muffled. He can hear what he is saying only in his head but how is this possible he wonders, is he still dreaming?

The feelings start to come back like he needs to run but where to go what is the scared feeling he is getting? Then this sharp pain coming from his side feels like his insides are going thrugh the other side of his body he feels tearing around his back but from what he can see he is still standing in the middle of the road he found in town. As he looks down his flesh is boiling into big red puss blisters,Knowing well enough that he feels this but being able to see this like watching from another person he just has not realized that he still has not woke up. Just like that the feelings dissapear and he seems like it was all over but he is no longer in the town or even in his room, now he is falling, falling into a big empty well that never seems to end. As he screams for what he is not sure,He notices a light at the end. Then just before the light he awkes to find him self in his bed staring up at the celing with cold sweat sliding from his forehead He takes a look at the clock that sits on the night stand The clock says 3:45 pm.
