DANCING ALL OVER THE PLACE

Whoops! Forgive me , can't you see
My memory is not as it used to be
My frontal lobes are falling apart
I really don't know where to start

Disease that destroys the cells in my brain
Oh, dear! I'll have to start again
I have no idea whats just been said
Am I going, or just got out of bed?

Can't retain information at all
Makes no difference if it's big or small
In my ear and out into space
My thoughts dancing all over the place

Don't know the date or time of day
Please forgive me, what did you just say?
Tell me who you are, standing there!
Who are you ,to stand and stare?

Behaving as if you know me well
Step a bit closer, maybe I can tell
Maybe I can recognise your face
With my mind dancing all over the place

Tell me about this life of yours
I'll tell you about mine: two World Wars
Can tell you what I used to do
But I really, really don't know you

Anymore than I know my own name
As this disease devours my brain
So here i will continue to sit
Hanging on to every last bit
Try to recognise your face
With my mind dancing all over the place
