Basically a "Don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger."
Men of courage, men of peace,
Do not harm me, I beg you, please;
Men of love and men of trust,
Do not settle for this lust;
I am but a humble poet,
I will write you a poetic duet;
I inspire peace, my friends,
Peace to which there is no end;
Kind, respectful, noble men,
I am but a master of the pen;
If you spare me, you will see,
I shall serve you, from A to Z;
I have done nothing wrong,
Except intrude in on this noble prong;
If you kill me, you will pay,
That is my warning for today;
If I live, I will trust you,
Good, noble men,
Why do I fear that this is the end?
