Insults...
--------------------------------------------
"And I saw the Beast, and the Kings of the Earth, and their Armies, gathered together to make War against him that sat on the horse, and against his Army."
- Revelation 19:19
--------------------------------------------

He was alone once again.
He had just ripped though, God only knows how many, enemies.
He slowly felt himself returning to his more human state-of-mind.

He was Kane, he was not human or animal yet he was a Beast.
That's what they had designed him to be and that is what he shall always be.
He had no family, no mother, no father, no siblings... He only had creators.

He was a half-successful science experiment and that's what he shall always be.

Kane got a sudden feeling that he was not alone. Someone, somewhere was watching him.
The scent was distinct.

'Yank...' he thought. It was rare enough to get them out in the battle fields in British territory, with the exception of bases that had been established back in World War II. What was even more rare that there was only one of them. One that smelled considerably weak.

'Smells like a female too...'

He figured since he had finished picking off a bunch of Nazi's that he might as well go for some 'easy-pickings' now... Since he wasn't needed back home until tomorrow morning anyway that is.

He walked away from the blooded area he had just created over to some broken down old apartments.
He was prepared to kill her quickly, he figured he might as well be merciful even if she was an enemy she was still a weak female and this is war - no place for someone like her.

"The killer intent, I could smell it a mile away, you fucking limey."

He turned around suddenly, he could have sworn he heard someone talking to him.
He brushed it off and still made his way forward.

"Stupid Brit, you always underestimate your enemies..."

There is was again, he had to admit it was getting a bit creepy now.
Nevertheless, he still made his way forward.

"You know, you really outta improve your senses a bit, silly little boy~"
She had popped out right in front of him, just like that.

"Wah!" He jumped back from the shock of it, he had honestly never seen that happen before.

"Aw, did the 'weak Yankee girl' scare you, fuckin' limey?" She taunted him.

He was on the ground staring up at this strange woman.
She was fairly average in height, wore glasses, wore a gray cap, a gray vest/jacket thing that showed her mid-drift, gray shorts, black thigh-high stockings, and your standard army-issued boots. She also had the longest brown hair he'd ever seen - it went down to her knees for Christ's sake!

Over-all, he had to admit that for a Yank she was good-looking.

He noticed she was carrying a rather old weapon with her.
He could only conclude that what ever she was, she had to be pretty damn old and pretty damn skillful to know how to use that thing.

"What are you?" he asked her, seeming to forget that he could easily rip her to shreds at such a close range.

"Don't you mean 'who'? Or did I scare the little Chimera that bad?" She taunted him again.

In one quick motion he grabbed her by the throat and had her pinned to the wall.
If it was one thing he hated, it was being called a 'chimera'.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't break you in two."

"B-because I k-now something you don't kn-ow~" She spoke brokenly but, again, tauntingly.

"What?" He gripped her throat tighter, cutting off as much air as he could without actually killing her.

"Y-you're g-onn a hab to let me g-go if you wann-a k-now..." She was struggling for air now, she'd probably pass out any second.

He dropped her.

She wheezed and coughed for air, rubbing her throat while doing so.

"First you gotta swear you'll help me get through your territory..."

"Why in the bloody hell should I help you with that?!" He yelled, getting annoyed with this girl.

"Because I'm not here for you Brits, I was on my way to the Soviet Territory when I got shot down by a surprise attack coming from a bunch of Nazi bastards."

"So?"

"Ever hear the phrase 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'?" She gave him a cocky glare.

"What are you trying to imply?"

"That they are creating biological weapons and where the hell do you think they are gonna attack first? The one enemy who has their defenses lowered at the moment. That would be anyone and anywhere in British Territory." She stood up and brushed herself off.

"So then why are you Yanks going after them?"

"Well, isn't it obvious? As soon as they kill all of you off, they'll just come after the American Territories... And if either of us has any hope of winning this war then we gotta do each other a few favors along the way. Your superiors are too distracted to notice this so we are gonna take care of it for you. Think critically, boy."

He really wanted to break her neck now.

"I don't believe you." He said looking right at her.

"I figured as much. But I still know something you don't know."

"Why should I care?!" Now he was getting annoyed, this Yank deserved to get raped and killed slowly by either the Russians or Nazi's. He didn't care anymore.

She grinned one of the most sly and evil grins he'd ever seen, this Cracker was mental!

"Because, you stupid Brit, there is a reason that Nazi's have a Werwolf project -- they are using real Werewolves! You think a pathetic little science experiment could ever hope to stand up against such powerful, obedient, bloodthirsty animals? If you do then you're even more stupid than I thought!"

She started laughing to herself.

"And what makes you think you could stand up against them?" He asked while glaring at her.

"Nothing at all. Why do you think I'm still here? You need brains and brawn to stand up against such powerful creatures. I have the brains and you," she pointed over to the mess he had made earlier, "obviously have the brawn."

"Is that all?" He had to admit she did sound rather convincing.

"Yes, just get me out of here, and then I'll be no more bother to you~"

"Where is it you need to go?" He gave in, this girl was nuts but now he believed her.

"I need you to get me through the British Territory in Northern Ireland." She pointed in the general direction in where she needed to go.
"I'm going to the American Territory in The Republic of Ireland. But since Northern Ireland belongs to the British... Well, I'm sure you can figure it out."
She gave him another sly look.

He thought about it for a while, considering he wasn't allowed to leave England he wasn't exactly the best person to help her.
But something was telling him to help anyway. He'd been stuck in that Lab all his life unless he was sent out on a mission.
He'd never really gotten to see much of anything, not that there was a lot left to see that is.

"...Fine." He gave in sighing.

"Wonderful!!" She ran up to him and threw her arm around his neck, "You and me are gonna get along just fine, boy~"

"Don't touch me. And I have a name, it's Kane... Stupid woman." He said attempting to detach himself from this crazy Cracker.

"And mine is Shiloh~" She said, this time getting right up into his face.

It was clear to him then that he was in for a world of trouble and why he didn't just kill her when he had the chance, he'd never really know.
He felt strangely compelled to help her, maybe because she was more like him than anyone else he'd killed before - not human, not an animal, but is a Beast.

"A dead world, A dark path, Not even crossroads to choose from," She sang to herself, "All the blood red carpets before me, Behold this fair creation of God~"

And they both headed off in the general direction.
--------------------------------------------------

"The first rock thrown again, Welcome to Hell, little Saint." He left a seemingly innocent teenage girl for dead in the middle of a bloody battle field.

"Mother Gaia in slaughter, Welcome to Paradise, Soldier!" She killed him, a soldier worthy of death. She stabbed him right in the heart.

"The Mistress is no longer alone..." He told the girl.

"I still wanna find her as quick as possible, it get's tiring having to lead a bunch of morons like all of you... I don't know how she does it." She told him.

"Nonsense, sister, that's why Mistress has you as second in command. Only a beautiful maiden can tame the hearts and minds of a bunch of rotten men like ourselves." He chuckled at this fact.
"After all, you can't expect us to fight without loyalty to someone or something, can you?"

"When your life is empty and meaningless, you seek something to live for. But even I am like that, so aside from my gender - how does this make me any different from you idiots?" She asked him.

He had to laugh a little, "Because the Mistress can only force control on us men. But you, you follow our dear Mistress of your own free will... Isn't that right? That means you deserve to lead us all, you have free will - we do not."

He was right, she turned around to view the destruction and carnage taking place before her.
A small team was all she commanded at this moment, that's all that was needed.
They were all very strong and very deadly. They were beating back and ripping through Nazi troops like paper.
However, she knew all these troops were human... The real challenge would come when the Werewolves would show up.

"Prepare the men to move out, Kern, we've just about finished with these bastards."

He walked to the battle, "Yeah, because it's the mongrels that are gonna be a real pain in our asses."

She looked out over the battle. She worried for her Mistress. She knew that she hated to force her powers and take away all of a man's free will, but Mandisa feared that Shiloh might have to... That can lead to either good or bad things.

But for now, she'd just have to wait it out.
