I am without explicit topic sentence
I am full of brain
which lacks connections
I am connecting wires putrid brown to cray-on tan,
red to red, golden rod to midnight blue

I am daily planners and to-do lists
I am in love with the inflated language
beauty, passion, truth
I am swift, bare feet on dewed grass

I am surrounded by glimpses of the Supreme

I am not afraid of long eye contact
I am analyzing the purple
the gray
the blind

I am expecting nothing from every situation
I am pleasantly surprised
I am hoping for epiphanies
the ones that aren’t contrived
I am not here to impress or to confine
I am here to find the rhyme
