Conquered

I am conquered by dark passion
That is seeping deep within
As you conquer my breath and soul
And your toxin fills my skin
As you crush me to your lips
Like the petals of a winter’s rose
Please remember this
It was me you chose

When you kill me with your smile
And my heart is left in pain
Know that you’ve killed within a child
And she’ll never be the same

She won’t ask, she won't take,
She won’t reach out anymore
To any healing touch, she wants so much
As she had done before

All the whispered passions she believed
Were all proven to be bitter lies
It wasn’t real, It was in vain
By a demon in disguise

You conquered love, you gave pain
To the only love You’ll ever know
My torn out heart became a prize
That lies red on despair’s frozen snow

So are you proud or empowered
By what your hands and heart have done?
You may have conquered my love for you
But I will live again, and feel the sun
