Historical figures really come to life at home school!
Home school

Thank you for coming Mr. President,
To our cramped and humble home.
I’ve asked Mozart and Edison to join us,
And they’ve agreed they’ll chaperone

On your wisdom we truly depend,
It will help to enhance our lesson.
Where we'll end up at day’s end,
Keeps me and my children guessin’.

If you're hungry, then you're in luck.
We're picking up Julia Child on the way.
She has a recipe for Peking roast duck,
That we’ll be preparing in class today.

We’ll also be studying world finance,
Much needed in today’s sorry times.
Don’t be surprised if by happenstance,
You see your faces on dollars and dimes.

Thanks for taking the time to draft,
Our wonderful U.S. Constitution.
Some nit-wits don’t teach it nowadays,
Mentioning God is such an intrusion.

Queen Cleopatra will be saying for dinner.
How nice of you to join us Ben Franklin!
Cleopatra’s teaching hieroglyphics for beginners.
Ben, put down that beer or you'll get a spankin’ !

Thank you for joining us here at our home,
For this years fun-filled school season.
We’ve learned so much from you all,
That to thank you there is much reason.

We don’t need to be in buildings public,
To experience what the law requires.
It can be done at our own pace right here,
As every home schooling parent desires.

Thanks for coming everyone and goodnight!
Can I expect you all tomorrow at about nine?
Mr. Edison could you turn on the porch light?
If you come a little early or late that’s just fine.
