she held tears in her eyes that threatened to fall. "Don't leave me.........."
The distant thunder sounded through the plain feild. Two figure ran around and laughter could be heard. The boy smirked as he rain a hand through his long brown hair watching his girlfriend smile as the lightening cracked lighting the dark clouded sky. The girl wasnt fazed. she turned and looked at her boyfriend who just seemed to be staring at her.

"What?" she asked smiling. He smiled back his lopsided smiled that she fell in love with.

"Nothing, its just, the storm is amazing, but it cant compare to how amazing you are" he said through a chuckle. The girl laughed holding her stomach.

"That was so cheesy Connor" she said falling back onto the grass. The boy Connor soon fell next to her and they laid there for what seemed hours but in reality it was just 5 minutes.

"Avery?" Connor asked in just above a whisper. The girl Avery turned her head to look at her boyfriend.

"What?" she asked, lacing her fingers within her curly dark brown locks.

"What happens when this is all over......." Connor whispered. Avery leaned up onto her elbows.

"What do you mean" she asked concerned at her boyfriend. Connor looked at her with the passion in his eyes she hadnt seen in a long time.

"I mean when the summer is over and we go our seperate ways, you know im only visiting for this summer then i have to go back to maine, and you'll be here in conneticutt, what is gonna happen to us......" he whispered the last part. Avery put her hand on his chest and smiled a watery smile filled with greif and pain.

"Connor, we both know that this summer is all we will have together and hell i want it to end just as much as you do," She paused and took a shaky breath before continuing,"But toying with what was meant to be gets us into deeper shit, so we might as well let nature take its course, maybe we can meet up after i get my own car?"

They lay there in silence a distant church bell rang. She snapped up and gasped as thunder shook the ground. Connor stood up and wrapped his sweatshirt around.. They ran to Avery's moms pick up truck and threw the door open. It took them a second to catch their breaths. They noticed how close they were and smiled and then they leaned in and kissed, the electricity jolting through them. They pulled apart for air and smiled. and thats when the rain came down.
