to lead or to follow?
And so it begins as we step out into a foreign place I have never been before.  We begin walking towards the destination and the positions begin to take place, These positions I’ve come to know all too well. He begins to step back and let me walk a step ahead.  I begin to slow pace not knowing where to go and hoping to fall a step behind him in order to follow, but instead he slow, so I decide to stop and he stops…ugh!!… What do I do now? Ok, just ask him, “Do you mind leading the way? I’m not sure where to go.”Although he has been here before, he timidly begins to walk ahead and is noticeably uncomfortable to be leading. Why? Is he often around people that don’t know how to follow, or does he fear that the person he is attempting to lead won’t follow him.
