Begin Being

It's no one's fault, really. We are all simply victims of the times. Technology has taken over---even our most basic human traits like conscience, morality, compassion, dignity and respect...words with as many defininitions as living beings on this planet. We sought to reach the heavens, the place with all the answers, and now here we stand at that coveted doorstep...seeking entry, as if we deserve it. A look of desperation taints our eyes and they are bloodshot and tired and ready to end so that we can begin being.

Being what? Being Whom? For what purpose?

And there's the rub.
