The Last Fairytale

storm ravaged is my heart
tossed by the Devil's tide
thrown at your feet I'm broken
with nowhere left to hide

clouds across my eyes
cold rain upon my skin
your earth-rough hand in mine
where did the fire begin

corporeal was my life
just fading shadows now
your eyes are strangely blue
I'd forgotten them somehow

did you ever know or care
that you owned my questing heart
if I turn another page
will our fairytale restart

and will our song begin
as the rain falls on my skin
