Poem about heart break
Tears dropped from my eyes as the pavement pounded its way back into the bottom of my feet.
I was running.
Running away from everything.
From everything at all.
My heart was torn and my mascara streamed down my cheeks.
A dog barked at me in the distance.
The smell of earth after it rained overcoming my nose.
None of it mattered.
They were things that I could escape.
This I couldn’t.
I was bleeding from the inside out and there was no way to stop it.
