sometimes it is good to get outside.
Tom pulled out Jamaal’s earphones.

“Hey man, turn that thing off. Your foster parents said you can sleep over only this once. We have to live it up, you and me.”

“Yea, whateva. Hey man, where we headin’ to? Where we gonna chill at midnight?”

“I’m taking you to my place. I got to get you out of this city. I live upstate; it’s not far from here. Come on man, I told you to turn off your game.”

“Aight man, OK. I gotta give ya props, this is a fly car you rollin’ in. What this button do?”

“It lowers the top down to be a convertible. You can push it, go ahead.”

The hardtop slowly transcended down into the trunk. The wind rushed over Jamaal. He lowered his game, letting it fall to the floorboard. Then, Jamaal peered up into the speckled night.

“What is it Jamaal, you never been out at night before?”

“Shut up dude, I’m always out. I just ain’t never seen stars before.”
