A poem in three parts -- A prelude to a love story |
COME WITH ME I Come Follow me into a mythical realm Flow with me into gushing tides On a sea-bound saga, into primordial rain forests For above the clouds Whence rise angel-flung whispers Deeply felt moods And song... Cascade into a sprawling dawn Aglow with sparkle faeries At play in your eyes Gypsy flutes swirl in rhythmic joy A zephyr soft thrum against your skin And mine... Come tenderly with me Into the dusky mystery of an unspoken dream Rising, falling, ebbing, flowing At last spilling, coalescing In a nectar-sweet epiphany Ah yes... II Take my hand Don't let go as we soar into azure bliss Aloft like twain seraphim Our wings spread over vast steppes, Snowy peaks, secret lakes and misty ravines Our sacred realm At last rising from the foilage Whence songbirds trill and coo and frolic In ecstasy We explore a hidden temple Lost there in a myrrh-scented cove of treasure Relics left by mystic lovers Of another time Still deeper we plunge Into a forgotten grotto of unexplored visions Like two avatars reborn A thousand epochs beyond this world Cross this threshold with me And brave the unknown A swirling blue portal living our wanderlust souls Toward an Eden above Come take my hand Don't let go as we soar into our fecund dreams III Rise Oh yes, again we rise And softly fall Into the coral depths of a virgin reef Come Let's play with dolphins Let's dart, flit, roll and splash In an abyssal garden Lynx moons aglow in a sapphire sky Rainbow rings are over this opal sea archipelago Oh, don't let go As we flow Rise Ooh yes, rise and fall in love Come, let's bathe in the ambient moans Of orcas On a faraway shoal Lost so tenderly In a mystic realm with you |
