** Image ID #1544389 Unavailable ** There you lie neglected and abandoned, Craving for someone's love and affection. You earnestly want a respite from the, Pain and sorrow smoldering inside you. Craving for someone's love and affection, Waiting to be lavished by someone's care, Desiring the gentle touch of some hand, The hand that will embrace you as its own. You earnestly want a respite from the, Agony clawing at your battered soul. Your dried flowers ache to blossom afresh. Like a Phoenix they wish to rise again. Pain and sorrow smoldering inside you, Make you cry and vent your emotions. In deep distress tears roll down from your holes, The wounds inflicted on your tender heart. This poem was written in the Lilibonelle form for the "Rhythm & Rhyme" challenge. This form is made up of four quatrains. The lines of the first quatrain repeat at the beginning lines for the rest of the stanzas. Explained: The second line of the 1st stanza becomes the first line of the second stanza. The third line of the 1st stanza becomes the first line of the 3rd stanza. And the fourth line of the 1st stanza becomes the 1st line of the 4th stanza. You can use a specific rhyme pattern if you would like or make it free. The choice is yours! http://pages.prodigy.net/sol.magazine/pl01form.htm#LILIBONELLE |
