Jumping for Jesus
Coach Toomey formed a ministry to jump rope for Jesus, combining the inner
truth with religious teachings and repetitive jump roping. The Hallelujah Hoppers
were enthusiastic girls. Many had never traveled outside their city. In no time
the Hallelujah Hoppers had become a champion jump rope team.
Coach Toomey lead her team on, "You are the righteous Hallelujah Hoppers!"
Little Rhea was the fastest rope jumper, "My feet are on fire for Jesus!"
She could jump rope and do back flips at the same time. Well, it wasn't long
before the Hallelujah Hoppers were invited on the Tonight Show.
They met Britney Spears and Jay Leno. Jay was a clumsy rope jumper,
but Britney jumped and danced over the jump rope. Coach Toomey stressed
the importantance of repetitive jump roping, "It builds character in my girls."
Britney agreed and said jump roping is like singing, "It takes a lot of practice."
Then, she did a belly dance and sang, "I'm your candy girl."
After Britney's song Jay Leno asked Rhea what she wanted to be when
she grew up. Rhea laughed, "That's a silly question. Were in the tribulations.
Everything is gonna blow up. I just want to jump rope for Jesus!" Coach Toomey
hugged Rhea. Britney was visibly upset, "What the hell are you teaching her?!"
Coach Toomey smiled, "To jump for Jesus!" Jay Leno laughed and shook his
giant head, "Well, that'll boost the jump rope sales!"
It was time for a commercial about bad breath. Britney got into an argument
with Coach Toomey, while Jay jumped rope with the girls.

Reflection: "Can the wicked rulers be allied with thee,
who frame mischief by statute?" Psalms 94:20.
