A song I wrote for Creative Writing. I can't come up with a title. |
Lost in an imaginary world Floating round your head You try to lock those voices out But you keep hearing what they said You say it doesn't bother you You'll stand the test of time But those words, they will come back again Somewhere down the line CHORUS: Icy hands are shaken Choking out the night Not strong enough Not fast enough To make it to the light Swirling crystal visions Minds change but ever clear Disappear like tears and wash away These horrid, painful fears You'll always be inadequate No matter what you do Good at everything Except one thing That makes someone love you Blue and green Only seventeen But they can't see eye to eye Their minds are far too selfish To get answers for their cries (CHORUS) I search for that bounty ship The one waiting in the night So I can slip beneath its sails And set its course for right The single tracks divide This east and that west line The highway is so lonesome Three bells toll, Calling out through time (CHORUS) Death is not the answer Won't revert to sin Can't convert their hopeless ways Lost and dying within I shall rise above the sound And I shall not be moved Blanketed by narrow, yellow lines Fixated within narrow, rotting minds |
