A poem about how a broken heart has the ability to destroy the colors of life.
What was once filled with color,
Is now black and gray,
A life so vibrant and vivid,
Has faded with the day.

A heart that throbbed with passion,
Created life with each beat,
Became broken and defective,
While lost in your deceit.

If only we would have never met,
The stars would continue to shine,
I lost myself inside your soul,
You destroyed the best that was mine,

I once was controlled by rational,
I saw beauty when I looked in the mirror,
Now brokenness captures my every thought,
Consumed with hatred, loathing, and fear.

A heart in pieces cannot be repaired,
Shattered the moment you walked away,
What was once a beautiful work of art,
Has faded with the day.
