A soldier discusses his impending execution for not keeping Christ in the grave.
Conversation In Cell 42

"The night was quiet."
"I knew none would try it."
“I'd rather be in bed.”
“But I have to guard the dead!”

“Well about all I have to say”
“Is, Captain,  is easy pay.”
“I for one would wish to for battle!”
“Hear my sword! 'stead of trees rattle!”

“What's with these silly Jews?”
“Haven' you heard the news?”
“Said He'd raise from the dead!”
“I'd still rather be in bed!”

“Nonsense just silly talk!”
“No dead man can walk!”
“So much for this night.”
“Look its getting light.”

“ But it's not time yet!”
“The sun barely set!”
“See! See!Look now! Nave!”
“The light comes from the cave!”

“I wanted to flee and run!”
“When I saw what was done”
”Like a child I wanted to hide!”
“The stone! It was pushed aside!”

“Three men in white!”
“All just like light!”
“I stood as a stone!”
“My deeds. Shown.”

“The evil in my life!”
The way I hate my wife!”
“My life flashed by!”
“I started to cry!”

“My hearted started to burn!”
“And still I couldn't turn.”
“He came walking out!”
"I couldn't even shout!”

“I never felt so sheer.”
“He started to come near!”
“Just no way to disguise!”
“All was before my eyes!”

“Mercy! Mercy! I cried.”
"He was there at my side!”
“HE was standing right there!”
“Then an absence of fear.”

“I heard myself whisper, Lord!”
“Peace! Like water being poured!”
“All throughout my very being.”
“I knew then, whom I was seeing!”

“I knew it right then.”
“They'd kill me, my frien' ”
“So, no. I'm not scared”
“My soul's being spared.”

“Yes, I'll be dead this night.”
“But my soul is alright.”
“Yes, yes. So I die by the sword.”
“Is but a door to my High Lord.”
