Unfailing Love

With every beat of broken heart,

My fragile soul is torn apart.

With every breath, steady and slow,

The tender flame that once did glow,

Grows dim and still amidst my sorrow,

What hope is left, what comes tomorrow?

Will trees still grow, will birds still sing?

Could water still flow, or bells still ring?

Through broken promises and shattered dreams,

My heart it burns, my soul it screams.

But then I see through teary eyes,

The sun shines bright in morning skies.

And now I find unfailing love,

Can only come from God above.
