Story of a woman gaining freedom and a lover watching her ascent. |
LEMMINGS AND ANGELS Lemming, Lemming, has no fears, As he races, he sheds no tears. Dashed upon the breakers free, Swallowed by the crashing sea. Earthly Angel learns to fly. Lady Madonna kisses sky. Rises now on lifted wing. Timing gifted everything. Soaring bird. No lament. Freed of Falconer, Content. High in carefree busy flight. Caution thrown from dizzy height. With inner love as his theme, He healed her deepest dream. Yet all he had hoped he had found, Fly’s away from grass and ground. Lemmings and Angels. Cobwebs and tangles. Like moths to the flame There's no one to blame.
