Poem - relationships
You said that you loved me
That was a lie
You said she was history
You said that you'd try

And I was to believe your words
twisted with hate
Your unhappiness, my fault
I alone determined this fate

Now I'm to look past your deceptions
smile and agree
make polite conversation
so that you can feel free

My refusal is childish;
People just grow apart
When and why aren't important
I should embrace a fresh start

Since that new beginning
Ive journeyed from night into day
I now know what I believe
and its not what you say
