The Lake of Blood and Water

Come, follow me.
Take off your shoes
And walk by my side.
Come with me
To my dwelling place.
Where the sky is blue
And the trees are tall;
The grass is green,
And soft beneath your feet -
There you will find
My dwelling place,
And a Lake of Blood and Water.

Come, follow me.
Take off your shoes
And fly with me
Through the clouds of white
And into the sunset.
There you will find
My dwelling place.
There my home is simple,
Filled only with simple pleasures -
A garden in the sunshine,
A smile on a face,
A good old book,
A fire place,
A faithful friend to talk to,
And a Lake of Blood and Water.

And you say,
"I've heard of your place.
Others have it too.
Only the Godly have this place,
And all of them have this Lake of Blood and Water.
Tell me, so I may understand,
What is this Lake of Blood and Water?
For it seems to be the life of you;
It seems to be the only thing true,
And I want it too."

I reply,
Come, follow me.
Take off your shoes,
Then you will see.
Come to my dwelling place.
Come to the edge
Of the Lake of Blood and Water.

Come, follow me.
Take off your shoes,
Drink with me.
Take a cup,
Fill it up,
Fill it with the Lake of Blood and Water.

Drink your fill.
Drink and believe.
Dive in and immerse yourself
In the Lake of Blood and Water.
Believe in the Man Who made this Lake -
For He died to make it.
He died to give it to us,
It's His gift,
This Lake of Blood and Water.

Drink and believe,
Believe and life forever.
Give yourself up
Completely to this Man.
He died for me,
And He died for you.
He died and made
A way for us.
Drink your fill.
Accept Him in your life.
Choose to live in a Godly way -
Choose to do as Jesus would.
Determine to bring others
To your dwelling place
And have them accept Jesus Christ -
Who is the Lake of Blood and Water.
