Deliverance

Have you ever felt like you were a mistake?
Have you ever felt like you were always in the way?
Have you ever felt so low to the point that you were drained?
There's no joy for you because all you feel is pain
Have you ever thought you were better off dead?
Have you ever regretted the day you were born?
The pain you feel so deep.......words just can't describe
As if the only relief is to give up and die
So what's the point to goals and dreams?
Why care when depression is all you see
It's bad enough to have these issues dealing with the life we face
But imagine having these issues at a young age
See I dealt with depression when I was a young child
In my mind suicide was the only way out
Low-Self esteem only added to the fire
But soon Jesus Christ saved me from disaster
My testimony is simple and true
His joy replaced my sorrow, he edified me by his truth
His words were life to my soul and my heart
No longer could death have dominion over my thoughts
My deliverance was supernatural, Jesus saved me
From self annihilation, now I have a reason to dream
