I peer into the looking glass but the the girl I see, I do not know.
She has my eyes, dark and brown; they hold no joy, only
sorrow and pain.
She has my mouth; but there is no smile, no laughter. Not even a hidden
kiss in its corner.
She has my brow so arched and high; but it is furrowed with the pain
she must bear.
Her face so deeply burdened; her jaw firmly set. No joy in its expression.
Her face reflects only sadness; the tears flowing down her cheeks.
Though the girl in the looking glass has my reflection; I do not know her.
I am afraid that I will never know her again.
