What would I do without you?

I heard knocking on my door so I got up from my bed and open the door to find the precious, most valuable thing in my life my baby sister danni. She was adopted when I was 3 I could have been 4 but anyway I remember it like yester year. I was 3 maybe 4 when I heard a knock at the front door so I yelled "mommy theirs someone at the door" she came walking out and when she opened the door there was no one thier. I walked out with her and I soon heard crying "mommy look" I said pointing to a basket with a pink blanket over it, my mother brought the basket inside and sat down on the couch when she removed the blanket I asked "mommy why is there a baby in their?" she looked up at me and frowned "sweetie when a parent doesn't want a child instead of putting them in an orphange like a normal person they put them on peoples door mats." I looked down at the beautiful baby "can we keep her mommy" my mom looked up "I don't think so sweetie I mean she's not ours" I looked my mom in the eyes "please mommy I'll do whatever it takes" for a child I was pretty bright with a kind heart. I guess my mom saw my willingness because she smiled and said "well I guess were going to the courthouse" I smile brighter than ever and a day later I looked at my baby sister in my mom's arms. My thoughts were cut off when danni nuged me lightly "what's up princess?" I asked she looked up at me "I have to get going jason" relization finally sunk into my brain "oh we have school today, I totally forgot but I'll drive you" she smiled and walked away. I guess by now your wondering how old I am right? I'm 16 danni is 14 going on 15 but anyway I was waiting in the car for what seemed like forever. Danni finally came out and got in the car I looked at her and said "took ya long enough" she smiled at me "I didn't take that long jase" I nodded "ok you keep thinking that" I started driving towards the school and we had a fun conversation on the way there, soon we got to the school "I'll be here after school were gonna go see a movie ok?" she nodded and walked away. Man that girl makes me happy to be alive anyway I didn't feel like going to school today that's why I only dropped her off after I got coffee I went home and fell asleep at 12. I woke up at 2:30 and all I thought was 'man I overslept' I ran for the car and pulled up at the school at 2:40 which was good cause people were exiting at that exact moment.I saw most people exit then I saw danni with a boy which I really didn't like at all. It sent me into another flashback I was watching tv in the living room when my mom came in and asked "sweetie would you like to hold your sister" I nodded and she put the little bundle in my arms and I felt on top of the world. I looked at my baby sister then at my mom "I'll always protect her mommy, nothing will happen to her as long as I'm around, forever and always I won't let anything happen to her or harm her" my mom kissed my head she had a goregous smile on her face. My thoughts were cut off once again by my car door opening and closing.
