An...eventful poem.
Creak
Groan
Twist

The dance of the bark giants.

The wind shoves
They remain stoic
The leaves leave
Narrates the poet

For she sits in a classroom
Bored out of her mind
Watching the dance
Of the beings outside

So very ancient
Watchers of time
Ages pass around them
As they ripen their minds

Small stones fly
In the monumental gusts
Shredding leaves
Murdering pests

Rain begins to fall
The window is hit
With a horizontal
Buffet of rain

A terrified cat is blown by
A student screams
Rocks are now flying everywhere
The trees' bark gleams

The window shatters
The poet feels only pain
Glass shards pinch her
While she watches the gods' game

She goes for the stoic tree
Climbs to the top
Clutches for her life
Her mind is calm

Her peers are washed away
The school is gone
The ground is a river
There's a silence, a calm

Nothing lives around her
But she looks up at her stoic tree
And while destruction lies about her
She's as happy as could be.
