Colours in Love

Pulled open the blinds to look outside,
All I could see was a paper sheet sky,
No sun and no moon,
No greens and no blues.

Everyone’s busy or everyone’s dead,
Being alone has got to my head,
All I need is somewhere new,
All I need is a friend like you.

You come inside and stay in my brain,
You blow out the clouds and you soak up the rain,
Colours come to life and they dance for me too,
The greys and the browns turn to yellow and blue.

The grass grows faster on a day like today,
The glowing blue sky never goes away,
The trees twist into shapes that I’ve never seen,
And I wake up from this beautiful dream.
