Today I bought you tulips
Your very favourite bloom
But to you I couldn not give them
In your heart for me no room

Yes, today I bought you tulips
Remembering the past
When your smile and eyes aglitter
Made me sure our love would last

Remembering the lonliness

Marvelling at their beauty

With each stem a questing look
