What the heart hears
Your voice

Tangled in my mind like a soft web
Holding me captive, a willing fly
Entrapped, enticed, acquiescent

I sip it as a fine mellow merlot
Tipsy, tantalized, a drunken lover
Intoxicated, languid, soothed

Subtle inflections, teasing tones
Giggles, sighs, enchanted desire
Delighted, excited, calmed

So many feelings you can evoke
Passion, fleeting sorrow, deepest love
Silken, sweet , soft music on my skin

Wrapped in masculine flannel
Warmth, comfort, trust
Your voice drowns and draws me

Every word holds special import
Whispered, murmured, shouted
For my heart only has ears for you

Call my name, speak your wishes
Anything  and everything you might ask
Would be granted, just to hear your voice
