Words from 4am.
Although it is common knowledge, the reminder that the sole purpose of one mans life is to acquire what he deems the important is important.  However jaded our views become and whatever fogs our greater sensibilities, we can not take for granted the undying trust that what we endeavour to achieve is worth of our time.  Time after all, is not infinite, at least not in our case.  This last true commitment of man is one done unknowingly in everyday life without the greyest idea of its accomplishment.

As unknowing as our actions are in the larger picture, we do in time take the view that whatever we have achieved or are to achieve is due to the everyday nothings.  Trite as it may sound, one mans life is not to be measured up against any others.  The life which this particular man in question has lived may have taken a shortcut or possibly on a particularly beautiful 78 years, the scenic route.  Whichever road chosen does not affect the final outcome, which is where the unfairness lies.

Without knowledge, what are we; many people ask.  The initial, perhaps genius answer, should not be taken as far away from the knowledge itself in our heads.  Over time we may come back, revise what we assumed the answer and laugh at our uneducated minds that squabbled for years to come up with such nonsense.  In reality, to find out the real answer we may have to wait hundreds of millions of years for a man of Herculean strength, Darwin-esque ingenuity, and Shakespearian communicative abilities to arrive at something which we consider, good enough.
