Tried out the first poem I've written in years. I wrote it for my parents anniversary.
Happy 35th Anniversary

February 23, 1974

What a day to behold.

The day you walked down the isle

And vowed your love to thee,

From then until eternity.

That day the two of you became one.

Thirty-five years later, look what you’ve become.

As husband and wife you’ve walked through

Good times and bad, always coming out

Hand in hand.

Together forever you will prove, that the love

That binds will always suffice.

Never being the one who’s always right.

Through the struggles and pain, you found some gain.

You’ve raised your children two girls and a boy.

You’ve shown them love, patience, and most of all joy.

Your belief in God and each other grows more with each passing day.

Your hearts so full of love and getting bigger in time,

That is why I write this rhyme.

You started out as kids not knowing what life

Had in store, becoming two people whom the other

Completely adores.
