So long since we last met,

But still I do not forget,

What you said and what you did,

Eventhough, back then, I was just a kid.



I'll never forget your smiling face,

How you took life at a gentle pace,

Moving along with the tide, not against the flow,

These memories of you I'll always know.



So long it has been now,

And - sometimes - I wonder how,

I've managed life without you there,

Without your love and tender care.



I'll never forget that twinkle in your eyes,

The way they always held no lies,

You stood for honour and for love,

but now you've gone to Heaven above.
