Poem to ask a person to ease their work load |
"Angel Has Work To Do" 2 2 2009 by David Marchesano Oh miss - What is this? Justice? Retro-resistance? Never believe in happenstance - Ever wonder why? Another lovely night - Somewhere both try and touched the sky I listen - Loud, hear you wish - For no less than one divine God held back the hands of time - Been waiting for you to hold these hands of mine I stay still as you dance - Around so many - A lost soul As your life scratches a bit - Inside a ticking bomb Squeezing out answers - Finding plenty - Forever on a roll I wait out side and sit - Watching you labor on, And on, And on Come with me - My invincible twin - Take this moment - Capture the beauty of the dawn Filling empty spaces - We hide inside within - Flesh tender - With minds stronger than stone Our eyes wise - Almost seems we’ve seen everything - Carry burdens determined to carry on Born free bound destined to be - Knowledge secures our souls - No weakness’s - Together - Apart n’ver alone ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The world promises - This will be the last time The ill wit inside men’s lies Just when can we be alive? Can’t turn away - We have to decide ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Take it easy my Angel…. Your weary now, It won’t be long - Let me bear it for you? Dream of the diamonds and sable Don’t worry how, I have paid for our dues Lay your head on my shoulder…. Let me take your hands off the wheel? Remember Heavens daughter Your fate is already sealed Like trying to steal your own candy Time is precious - But still waits on you Forever, like waves, wet and sandy Even the Tides rest as the moon Stars watch over you lady Darkness guards you when you sleep Save some sunshine for tomorrow Even faith needs a push to believe D♦ |
