A warm and fuzzy poem about spring.
What Happened To Winter?

The grass, soft as a bunny's tail,
laying down in the sun,
the light bright as a newborn's eyes.

The snow has melted away as
a contented sigh is heard from afar
from young one’s bathing in the warmth.

Gossamer clouds join in the race
as each chase one another across the sky.

Laughs sputter from full bellies,
as no one is left to sit alone.

Black bears shake off dust from their slumber,
while fish look above
to watch the shadow of ice melt from their homes.

Bees buzz softly as pollen drifts through the air
from wild flowers breaking free from their prison
of the freshly tempered meadows.

The young sparrows spread their wings
to find the joy of freedom and virgin beginnings.

Come, embrace the warmth
none is to go to waste.

For spring is here
and mischief is in the air!
